Children's Art Class: Drawing Pets

Wonderful illustration by my 7 year old student, Cortez V. The lesson today was about seeng shapes in a photograph of 

a pair of pets: a cat an a dog. -- Cortez used a charcoal pencil, white pastel pencil and markers on a dry paper, previously stained with watercolor. He came up with an idea of writing a title "Pet Picture Day" and added a person behind a camera.

Two Hour Art Workshop For Children. Materials: graphite and watercolor pencils, soft pastels, washable markers, vine charcoal, paper plates, construction paper, watercolor paper, brushes, water.
