CUP OF ROSES

Part of the Story of My Life is that I like
Photography as an art form. Years ago
I attended a photographic art exhibit in Poland,
somewhere near Warsaw -- and I promise to
refresh my memory, so I can remember
the name of the town. -- One of the exhibiting
artists was a young man, whose
photographs stirred the audience; there was
a talk about him and his dried roses
 -- they were unusually beautiful.
My friend and I approached the artist
and exchanged a few words with him.
And that was that.
Except, that 34 years later I still remember
those photographs of dried roses.

SLEEPY TIME FOOD STORY

I thought of writing something about
my experiences at a certain bread place,
where there is plenty of table space to
do homework, write stories, etc.
As I was placing my order, the girl asked me whether I wanted chips, bread, or apple with my sandwich. I told her to repeat my choices, because I wasn’t sure what they were. Then I asked "why more bread, doesn't the sandwich already come with bread?" And I chose apple.
After I paid, I got a familiar plastic device.
When my device started glowing, I went to the pick-up
counter to get my food. I was told by a young guy
that my sandwich was still on the grill,
so I left and sat down at my booth.
A few minutes later the guy came to inform me that my sandwich was ready -- this seemed comical.
He realized it and asked me: "Do you want me to bring your sandwich?" -- I said: "Yes."
The whole time I felt fine, but after I ate, I suddenly became sleepy and I ended up falling slightly asleep
at the table, with my head resting on my hands. And that's how this story ends.

MAGIC

As a teen photographer I wanted to perform a magic trick
using my montage skills, and this is a detail of my art.
As a magician, I 've been performing for many audiences,
and after more than thirty years of practice, I can tell you
that nothing can beat Dreams.  Athough Apparitions can
be very strong and puzzling too, they often can be
explained with an image that the camera produces;
But as far as the Dream goes, especially the Vivid
Dream, no magic trick can translate it. Nothing can.
Period.

STARFLOWER

It’s time for a story. This time it is a story that was being created in June, but the thoughts and occurrences happened earlier, and now I must write, otherwise stuff will break out like a zit. I am not willing to keep pace anymore. Here is a starflower with magical color of the land of gods, where the rainbow visits very often. Feast your eyes my dear reader, and please forgive me for being vague or insensitive - after all I am only human. This story is shortened dramatically due to the fact that I have too much to say, and not enough patience to work on conveying my stuff with eloquence and grace; therefore I am opting for a reading session of someone else’s stuff - The Da Vinci Code.

The Yellow Doughnut

Welcome, we meet again, and this time you will read about the Yellow Doughnut. In this story, like in life, there are other characters besides the main one. The girl behind the counter who was advertising the doughnuts is one such character, and I shall call her the “Girl with a Sour Smile." I was first introduced to the Yellow Doughnut when the “Girl with a Sour Smile” insisted that I buy it. I refused to buy it and after sampling it I said, "It’s too sweet." - I lied. The flavor was lemony and slightly tart. The doughnut was beautiful. The next morning I went to the cafĂ© to buy the doughnut and ate it. One week later I bought it again. When I opened the paper carton that the doughnut was packaged in, the spectacular yellow frosting with intense yellow sprinkles appeared to outshine the rays of the sun. There are no illustrations to go with this tale, but the image, however imperfect, will be available later on.
